Diddly Squat Farm began as a modest 1,000-acre farm and has evolved into one of the most recognised farm shops in the UK. While the agricultural side remains lively and unpredictable, Lisa has been the creative force behind the farm shop, successfully leveraging the attention from Clarkson’s Farm to build a distinctive retail brand.

With a focus on quirky branding, and a commitment to local suppliers, Diddly Squat has grown from a simple on-site shop into a dynamic enterprise, complete with an e-commerce presence, unique merchandise, and exciting plans for the future.

The Role

This is a hands-on position owning the day-to-day finance operations of the business. You will act as a key partner to the leadership team, providing the data-driven insights necessary for strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead month-end, management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow

- Analyse margins across retail and F&B channels; provide insights on pricing, stock, and performance

- Oversee AP/AR, payroll accuracy, and manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders 

- Implement robust financial systems, controls, and processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency

- Collaborate with senior leaders to guide investment and growth decisions

Requirements

Fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with solid management accounting experience.

Experience in multi-site or multi-channel businesses (Retail or F&B is highly advantageous).

Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to challenge stakeholders.

Proactive, organised, and comfortable in an evolving, "start-up" feel environment.
