Permanent and seasonal workers (Christmas, not Easter) will all be on the ‘to-get’ list at Amazon from now till the end of the year.
They are planning to recruit 7,000 more permanent staff in the UK this year having already added 3,000 roles to the workforce across its network of fulfilment centres, sort centres and delivery stations. The new roles are available across more than 50 of its sites, including Corporate offices and two new hi-tech fulfilment centres launching in Durham and Sutton-in-Ashfield later this autumn.

After so many bleak and dower stories about companies laying off employees (we don’t make the news, only report it), it’s nice to hear of a company, and one of such power and influence, to be taking the opposite route in these turbid times.
